Hello, lovelies!
Driving up to Le Belvedere on October 15th, looking at all the gorgeous fall foliage we knew this was going to be an awesome wedding. We were running earlier than expected which allowed us to grab a very Canadian Tim Hortons breakfast. The two weddings we shot before this were both cloudy and pouring rain so when we got to the venue we were so excited about the beautiful blue sky we had to work with.
Clayton and Caroline were very specific about the day they wanted to get married. They wanted to make sure their wedding day fell on the same day as the other important dates of their relationship.
- Clayton asked Caroline out on a date: October 15th, 2011
- Clayton asked Caroline to marry him: October 15th, 2014
- Clayton and Caroline got married: October 15th, 2016
Clayton and Caroline were easily one of the most relaxed clients we’ve worked with this year. They were so calm (even when they were running late). They just took everything in stride and enjoyed every moment of their wedding day.
They had a beautiful ceremony that switched back and forth from Cree to English. There they stood on the edge of a cliff with the sun setting behind them, professing their love to one another. I don’t think they could have asked for a more romantic setting to pledge themselves to each other forever. One of the cutest moments of the ceremony came in the form of their two little boys who decided to sit down in the isle and blow bubbles during the second half of the ceremony. After the ceremony, their two sons ran up and hugged them exclaiming “I love you, Mom!!” to which everyone’s heart melted.
When it came time for the couple session, the world and all the outside noise seemed to melt away from them for this short time. This was their time to just be in love and to be completely in each other’s presence.
The reception started off with a prayer followed by a moment of silence in memory of the Grandparents who could not be there to celebrate the wedding in person. The couple’s family then showered Clayton and Caroline with wonderful and thoughtful gifts during dinner. You could tell that these two were very loved by their families and friends.
